The first edition of Energia Italia, the international Conference on energy related topics in Italy, Europe and worldwide, features open discussions with the institutions, businesses, regulatory authorities, researchers and the academia, and also consumers.
Energy is currently a most strategically relevant topic, which affects industrial policies and steers environmental choices, driving growth and development. Whether oil or gas, wind or solar, biomass or green hydrogen, the future of the world depends on energy and energy is the driving force of economy.
In such a context, as the world is leaving behind two years of pandemic, together with its European partners, Italy is facing crucial challenges arising from a necessary ecological and digital transition, aimed at reshaping industrial policies and growth models, in line with the opportunities brought about by technological progress.
Lately, the tragic events of the war in Ukraine have brought to light the problem of energy supplies and related dependence issues.
Energia Italia will provide an insight into current challenges regarding the features, supplies, use and security of energy resources. The event will focus especially on the investment and governance strategies put in place by the Italian Government in the context of the investments envisaged by the NRRP (National Recovery and Resilience Plan), but also on the evaluation of the structural and regulatory choices to make in order to ensure a higher independence for Italy, by means of the energy resources not used yet in the Country. Energia Italia will also be a great networking opportunity: a strategic meeting-point for decision-makers, businesses, researchers and the academia.
